Upsetting how little you get vs. how much it costs, and I'm sure this goes for other brands of pellets as well.Listen, I'm no expert on this but I foresaw having to fill (from scratch) a photographic bean bag for newborn photography and saw it came without the pellets. Let me research how much this will cost exactly. I was blown away by the fact that bean bag chairs (new) range from $30-$150. So, why would filling your own cost $300 (the price of the bag was $70 on top of that)?I'm not good with measuring by volume and such, so flame me all you want. I'm more of a visual learner, and 5lbs sounded like a lot, but these pellets are really small and heavier than cheaper pellets made of Styrofoam, further increasing how many you'd have to buy. So, as I eyeball this job, about 50-100lbs are going to be needed to fill my beanbag.ALAS, I'm very clever. I went on a site that begins with C and ends with raigslist and found a guy selling a beanbag chair for $10, because, well whatever (and it smells like cigarettes), so $10, and I got, again eyeballing it, pretty much 70% of the new beanbag filled. $10. I swear on my mother.I'm not a shill or anything, I'm sure other company's pellets which go for $25+ give you just as much or less. I'm not spending time or money trying it out, my buying an old beanbag workaround worked, and I may just return these: they fit in the palm of my hand for God's sake, $21... I can't fill the bottom of my 55gallon fish tank with this amount of pellets (not that I would, just trying to give you some perspective). And on top of that, 5lbs x 10 more bags of these = a 50lbs beanbag chair?Maybe I missed the point as I see it has other good uses like for blankets and pillows, that's great and I commend their ability to help people and kids in other reviews, but excuse me for pointing out that the very title of this product is "BEAN BAG FILL" ... stress the words BEAN and BAG.Photo evidence:Photo 1: Product vs. Bag I need to fill = YIKESPhoto 2: Stinky old bean bag purchased for $10 vs. Bag I need to Fill = GOOD CHOICE!Used these to make a weighted blanket for my son. The first time I purchased them (not sure if it was from this seller or not) the beads seemed to be consistent in size and shape and came in a big 5 pound bag that looks like the photo. My second order beads seems to be a little lower quality, all of them were not uniform, but were still good. Beads were separated into 5 one pound bags and in another plastic bag. The difference in quality did not seem to have an effect on my finished product, and the separated bags actually made weighing out the beads for my project much easier. I always wash the blankets on the hand wash setting in my washing machine and hang to dry.My son has some minor sensory issues that are made better with the help of heavy items. Our OT suggested a weighted blanket to use for naps and bedtime. Buying a weighted blanket was out of the question!! Those things are terribly expensive!!! I figured that I could sew a few straight lines on some fabric so I made him a weighted blanket using these poly pellets and some tutorials on Pinterest. Some people use rice, but that can't be washed. These can and I've washed the blankets a few times now. They hold up great and there's no stinky smell that rice has when it's heated. Oh, and I've bought this twice, because now I've made four blankets! All of which weigh anywhere from three to four pounds counting the weight of the fabric. They love them! A must have for EVERYONE to get some sleep in this house.I love these Bean Bag plastic pellets to use for large quantities of slushee slime! If this is what you are looking for, it works perfectly. However, this product lost one star because when I opened the box it came in, the bag had exploded! Although this is not a HUGE problem, it is something I would like the company to address in the future... Nevertheless, I will most likely be buying again. Thank you!I have collected, repaired, and made dolls all my life. I use the 5lbs. Bean Bag Fill Plastic Pellets for various reasons. It give the doll a certain amount of weight (where I want it) and makes if feel more realistic. It also helps the dolls to sit instead of flopping over. It makes darling mini-pillows for props when displaying, or small pillows for a doll sized bed. Oh, there are so many ways to use the pellets. Occasionally I make a stuffed animal for a grandchild, and the pellets are perfect. The teenagers have been thrilled with bean bag chairs I've made for them. The pellets are a wonderful product and have more uses than I can think of or mention. I love them!I ordered these pellets for home made eye spy bags. The pellets were great, but they came in a cardboard box, not in any type of bag. Therefore had small bits of random card board, lint, shavings, who knows what? Great product, other than they are advertised as coming in bags.I bought these for my crochet dolls. I have used other brands and they have always worked fine. I decided to try this one because I got a good deal, but you get what you pay for. These smell horrible! Even inside an amigrumi with stuffing on top, the smell is overwhelming.Used these to make my autistic child a sensory weighted blanket. The pellets came in 5 1lb bags which really helped me divide the pellets equally to fill the squares. I run the blanket through both the washer and dryer all the time and there is no sign of any melting of the pellets, they all still feel like separate entities under the fabric. Despite using hot water and hot dry functions there is no smell that would indicate burning or melting.these pellets are perfect for filling shooting rests which are usually cloth and mostly arrive empty, this bag was just right to fill a savage island front shooting rest bag, they provide a stable platform for shooting whilst protecting your rifle, the density means the rest will stay in place without giving to much, the lighter poly balls for bean bags are no use at all for shooting purposesCame within the time and was as I expectedExcellent price
